As the Towson Tigers Women’s Club Volleyball team began their season on Saturday, September 25, the team utilized the new net rules that became effective last semester.
The rule states that players may touch the net without fault as long as it does not interfere with play. Players also must not touch the tape that runs across the top of the net.
Because during this tournament the team refereed themselves, the team has to remember these rule changes. These changes call for close attention to play at the net.
Players become officials once they put on the whistle. These new rules will call for players that officiate to adjust, but they are up to the challenge.
